Just so random.

I just started writing a post about how I'm in my last semester of my undergrad.
But after the 2nd line...I got bored.
And started to think about how I want to get a tattoo and dye my hair pink.
So I'll write about that and some other randoms instead.

It's true.
I want a tat.
So bad.
I love them...I just think they're cool.
But I won't, okaaay? because when I was a little tyke I promised myself I would never.
Also, I'm a baby and could never work up the guts to do it.
And I don't think I would be my parents favorite child anymore if I got one ;)

Also, I went to a dance concert last night.
It was amazing.
And my girl Kylie was kilin it on stage in her pink, yes pink, hair.
I was totally envious the whole time.
And I want it.
So bad.
Can you even imagine me with pink hair??
No way.
But blue maybe?!

Did you know B HATES sharing milk?
Like he won't do it.
Once I accidentally took a sip of his brand new chocolate milk.
And then all of the sudden I had my own brand new chocolate milk.
Didn't even have to ask B to give it to me.

I hate cats.
I think.
I mean.... I used to loooove them.
My dad even brought a few home for me when I was little, even though he is allergic.
Bless his huge heart.
I named every single one of them Crystal.
But somewhere between age 15 and 21 I've grown to hate them.
However, I really want one lately.
Like so bad.
I even asked for one for Christmas?
Weird.
I think it's cuz B and I don't want a baby.
And we couldn't handle a dog for more than 8 hours (see that post here).
And an evil cat just seems like a thing we could handle.

When we have no where to be in the morning, B does this thing that I like to call the "crackin".
Boy can sleep in for hours. HOURS!
And I kind of hate wasting time just laying in bed once I'm awake.
But he always wants me to stay in bed with him.
So he wraps his legs around me in this death. grip. when he can tell I'm about to get up.
"oh nooooo, it's the crackin'!!!"
(you know that octopus thing from Pirates of the Caribbean?!)
I can never, ever get out of it.
So I have no choice but to lay in bed with all these limbs keeping me hostage.
It's the real life Crackin'.
and I love it so much.

Also, we just had a random rap off in our kitchen.
I'm sorry you don't get to see our solos.
It's just that we're way too white for our own good.
But neither of us won.
It was a tie, if you will.
B knew his words better.
I popped, locked, and dropped it better.
But whateves, we look better together anyway.

Happy Monday little cuties.
Today I attend my dreaded cycling class.
Pray the teacher plays some more Spice Girl music so I don't hate it toooo much.

Year old cake? Gross.

On our anniversary,
boy and I got back in our wedding get-up!
We miiiight do this every year.
It's a good way to make sure we aren't slowly losing ourselves after marriage, if ya know what I mean.
Also, it's just a good time!
I, (meaning the parentals), paid some good money for that dress, it neeeeds to be worn more than once peeps!
We also whipped out our wedding cake.
Which was pretty okay tasting I guess.
But the thought of eating year-old eggs made us both a little grossed out.
Gag.
We'd put it in each others mouth for the piccy, but spit it right back out as soon as we could.
Also, the cake was fuh-reeeeezing.
We didn't exactly give it enough time to completely thaw out before smashing it into each other's faces.
My fingers were frozen solid by the end.
oh well, the cold never bothered me anyway.
^Frozen reference!^
and just SO false.
How does frozen fingers not bother you?!

Anyway, how awesome are these pictures?!
My cousin is staying at my parents house for the semester and she's totally into photography.
I figured I outta put those skills to use while I could, right?
Thanks, Marisa!
I love you!

aaaand if any of you are in the Provo-ish area and need some pictures done of anything,
Marisa is your girl!

To: B...I'm so happy you're my husband.

We did it.
We made it one whole freaking year!
They say it's the hardest.
So I'd say we're pretty much set for life if that's as bad as it gets.
You're the best person I've ever met!
And you have the biggest heart.
I literally laugh every single day because of you.
You make me so happy and I looooove you for it.

So here's to many more years of random adventures and spooning every night.

Muh babe, i love you i love you i love you!!!

My last post as a newlywed

Tomorrow I'll have been married to Lover
boy for 1 year.
That's 12 months!
Uhhhh...365 days, if you will.

And right now I'm waiting at Guru's for my hot lunch date.
He doesn't know we're celebrating our last lunch together before we're old married people.
But I'll be sure to tell him.
Hopefully he doesn't cry.
No one wants to be an old married person.

Gosh I love that boy.
Best year of my life.
But much more mushy gushy crizapp on that later.
Aka: Tomorrow.
Aka: whenever I feel like it.

Until then, we'll be soaking in our last newlywed day together.
Probably with a sugar cookie from Sweet Tooth Fairy.
Because I've been craving it all day.
Pregnant?
Probably.
It's what old married people do.

15 things 15 things 15 things

#1 After searching for years, I finally found a pair of boyfriend jeans that I love.
Years.
That is the cause for some serious celebration.
Except both B and my mom both said (on separate occasions)
"Rik, your pants are too big"
They just don't understand great style, is what I keep telling myself.

#2 I made this quilt.
With the help of Grannie of course.
Had to do it for a humanities class.
I got 100%.
Which I felt great about.
But then I saw the half eaten pizza that someone turned in as their project.
Which made me second guess the millions of hour spent on this dang quilt.
Too overboard?
I suppose.
But 100% is 100% and probably (hopefully) a better score than that pizza got.

#3 Mend Juicery.
Heard of it?
It's all the rage.
Because everyone was saying it was so yummy, I assumed it was magical veggie juice without the nasty veggie taste.
Turns out people just truly like the taste of liquid vegetables.
But apparently they are so yummy!
So go try one.
And don't base it off my non-healthy palate preferences.
I even bought one.
Just drank it with my nose plugged.
For the good of the body kids, for the good of the body.

#4 Dad, thanks for working at BYU and giving your beloved daughters half off their tuition.
For that, we will let mom buy you (and us) breakfast and deliver it to your office.

#5 Vintage finds.
My favorite.
This coat. I love!!
I saw some chick trying it on in the store and I wanted it bad.
so I went to the owner and told him to convince that girl out of buying that coat so I could have it.
(whoa...a little selfish Rik.)
But you know what? He did it.
If you haven't been to 'unhinged' on center street in Provo, go now.
The people and stuff is so rad.
They have lots of new stuff too if vintage isn't your thing.
(creepy smile, I know)

#6 Nickle city.
A place where you spend twenty dollars and get five dollars worth of prizes in exchange.

^^ that's over a THOUSAND tickets worth of stuff.
I promise the frooties taste better there than if they're store bought.
It's why we keep going back there.

#7 Blake is a saint.
Like, drive-by-old-ladies-shoveling-their-walk-ways-and-stop-to-finish-it-for-them, kind of saint.
Blake came home one day with a present that one lady ran into their house to get while he was shoveling for them.
We laughed so hard when we saw the pop-tarts in there.
I'm pretty positive it's one of B's favorite presents he has ever gotten.
He loves that box of pop-tarts so much!

#8 I may not be going to the Olympics.
But B clearly should be.

#9 Oh hey New Years Eve.
You were pretty much a little crazier when I was single.
And hey Nik.
You look a whole lot sexier than I did that night.
But whatever.
I'm sure my New Years kiss was hotter than yours.

#10 We gotta "Blake's Jordans" 30 sec video comin atcha!
I need something to film other than my hubby and his shoes.
Any takers?!

#11 Spin class.
Hardest class I've ever taken at BYU.
I think I'm out of shape.
And I'd rather watch paint dry than workout on something stationary.
But you know what they say,
The more spin classes you take, the more ice cream you can eat.
For the good of the body kids, for the good of the body.

#12 Blake made dinner tonight.
aaaaand cleaned the kitchen up afterwards.
I wanted to kiss him all over.
I mean, not only is it nice to relax and take a break from cooking five-course meals every evening.
But it's pretty fun to watch that sexy thing do domestic stuff.
Turns. me. on.

#13 We're totally into THIS SONG as of late. mmmm that western vibe gets me every time.
Also, THIS SONG COVER is on repeat in my car.

#14 THESE SHOES. B and I wasted way too many hours of our lives trying to find these somewhere. And I finally found them! If you want them and don't have hours of your life to spare, talk to me and I'll hook you up.

#15 Feeling way inspired by THIS CHICK.

Also, B and I are getting slaughtered by school this semester.
"Welp, I'll see you in April, Rik"
Noooooo!
But he's on the couch right now waiting for me to finish this up so we can cuddle up and watch Modern Family.
So I'm out.
And not even going to edit.
Sorry not sorry.
This is my only chance to see him before April. (winkie face)
BYE.

New Year's Reso...whaat?

2013...you treated us so great.

A wedding.
not to mention some love makin', woot woot!
Great jobs.
which assisted us in the making and spending of money
 Awesome houses.
we miss you love shack!
The best vacations.
I don't think this summer can be topped, like ever.
Surviving school.
people say school is easier when you're married.
False. It's harder. There are way funner things to do with your husband instead of schooool crap.
And a baby on the way (eek!)
just kiddin!

Just a lot of great, fun, and important things, you know?
Sadly, the new year is ringing in with uh....zero resolutions.
B and I have tried to talk about it a few times.
The conversations pretty much ended in things like,

"Uh...imma try to lose weight?" -B
and
"Uh...continue to do whatever we want, whenever the heck we want?" -B

But now that I think about it...
I'll probably continue to do the same lack of cooking I've done our whole marriage...resulting in a skinnier husband.
And we'd still rather do anything than go grocery shopping or do laundry, and saving money still sounds a heck of a lot more boring than a spur of the moment vacay...aka: we'll still do whatever we want, whenever we want.
So I guess here's to making and keeping some goals, eh?!

Hope you all had a happy and safe holiday!
B and I are so sad that this break is nearing it's end.
Noooooooooo.
:(
Enjoy it while it lasts, kids!
