THE save the date video.

One thing that I super wanted for our wedding was a legit video to be able to watch when we're 80 years old.
So...we hired THIS chick because I L.O.V.E her work, aaaaand she's the cutest thing on planet earth.
I'm not even kidding, she was so easy and fun to work with.
Luckily we got bomb weather in December...whaaat?
And our good friend Eric (who runs the canyon express up Provo Canyon), let us borrow his rad bus.
But getting ready for this little video shoot was a tad stressful...
What do we wear?
What backpack should we bring?
Do you even know how to drive a bus?
Are we even allowed to drive a bus?
I hope we don't look dumb on film.
What dance moves should we do?
Is this too many bracelets?
Beanie or no beanie?
Crap, where the heck is my longboard?
Seriously you guys...we couldn't even decide what marshmellows to buy...there's like 20 different sizes these days!
Not to mention, B's idea to bring a bunch of his shoes came at the last second.
Did you know he keeps all his shoes in their boxes?
We were hauling boxes like crazy people into the car, then into the bus, then we had to unpack them for the shoot, then line them up, then put them back in their correct boxes, then back into the bus.
It was a shoe nightmare.
But hey.
It was totally worth it.
We seriously had the best time shooting this thing and pretending like we were movie stars for a split second.
Can't wait to show this thing to all our kids and grandkids one day!
"mom...you wore hightop wedges??! Gross."
Jk...hopefully they'll think we're the coolest parents ever and then beg us to go longboarding with them.

In honor of my boy being home...

In honor of my boy being home, I made him his favorite raspberry rolls with cream cheese frosting...

Made them look nice with a fancy homemade card, that is.

A special thanks to Shirley's Bakery for making the best rolls ever, and for those plane pilots that flew Mr. Sanfy home in one piece. Distance definitely made my heart grow fonder.
So happy to have my hubby home!

Details of the wedding day.

Last night, I was looking through a whole bunch of wedding pictures, and I found these little cuties...

Oh ya...we were puuumped.

I think that they are some of my favorite pictures from the 5,000 we have of that day...no lie, we were soooooo stoked and happy to be married!
So as I was looking through all of these pictures, I started to get sad.
Sad because the day was the best day ever.
And sad because the day came and went way too fast!

But don't worry, in my reminiscing I started to remember all the funny things that happened prior to walking out of the temple and thought I would share.

1. I woke up, only to find out that I had lost my dad's tie that he was supposed to wear that night. Had to go on a frantic search to find a new one! Sorry Dad!

2. I forgot to do my nails...so the mum painted them while I got my hair done.

3. We all got to the Mount Timp. temple only to realize that no one grabbed my wedding dress! Whaat?

4. We're about to walk into the temple and my mom goes to get out her recommend, which wasn't there and still chillin at our house.

5. We're giving our information to the workers and bam...B gets a bloody nose.

6. I'm praying the entire time that I don't get a hot flash and start to sweat at every pore during our sealing.

7. While waiting for our turn to get sealed, someone comes up to B and asks "Now son, are you sure about this?" just jokingly, of course. That boy of mine replies "ummm, ya. I think so."
uhhh-huuuuh, what was that babe? You thiiiink so??
Solid answer to give 2 seconds before we're about to be sealed. for. eternity.

8. The second B and I walk out of the room after being sealed, he and I start fist pumping and cheering and I yell "WE DID IT!" to the little lady that was helping us.
She didn't didn't celebrate with us. Just hushed us really quickly. We totally forgot we were still in a super holy and sacred place. :/ oops.

9. I got all ready in my dress and everything and literally spent 10 minutes waiting for B to finish getting ready. Ya, I know. Isn't the groom supposed to wait for the bride? Hahaha all the temple workers were laughing at me, "now you just remind him of this day when he's waiting on you to get ready, you hear?"

All in all, it was the best morning ever. Seriously, all of this happened and it wasn't stressful or frustrating or anything. Just pure happiness.
Definitely the best day of my life so far.

Oh! And good news. B's bloody nose stopped right before we got sealed and came back right when he got into the dressing room.
And I didn't even get a hot flash :)
The church is true and the book is blue, kids!

aaaaand, here's a video that B and I took right before heading into the temple :)
Complete with some background Chris Brown music for your entertainment.

My fav day is not my fav.

Conference Sunday!!!

Lounge all day. Cuddle up. And be spiritually uplifted.
Don't forget the sunny walk and family luncheon between sessions followed by an honest attempt to stay awake through the entire 2:00 session.
Who doesn't love Conference Sunday?

Meeee!!!! At least right now I don't.
Pardon me while I have a pity party for myself.
Starting right now.

Have I already mentioned that my husband has been gone for a week?
And that my family is in California on vacation?
And I have been stuck in Utah giving class presentations and writing 9, yes 9, school papers?
It has been the pits.
So I've been all alone on this conference Sunday.
Laying in my parents bed, writing papers (currently working on a 15-page beast), and watching conference.

Not to mention...my current state of watching what I eat like a hawk.
Reason being?
Huge dance recital in 6 weeks.
My costumes mixed with my regular habits of eating ice cream every day is just noooot gonna cut it.
Which is resulting in me not being able to eat away my loneliness and that's adding to my grumpiness.

But in happier news!

I'm loving conference.

AND!!!!

MY LOVER BOY COMES HOME TOMORROW!!!!
Can I get a who-rah?!

I'm missing my man :(

Blake is on a week long business trip.
His work sent him to Atlanta and New Orleans for the final four conventions.
Cool right?
Wrong.
I miss him so much!
We (yes, me AND him) are pretty much pathetic.
We've probably said "I miss you so much!" via texting like a ba-jillion times.
We're pretty much miserable without each other.

I found these pics of us from my freshman year in college when I was 18!
I swear we didn't date.
Just hung out alllll the time.
We weren't even friends with benefits.
I know, serious as a heart attack.
Didn't makeout.
Didn't kiss.
Didn't even cuddle.
or hold hands.
or hug longer than 1 second.
Don't ask me how I was able to keep my hands off him for like...way too long.
We just liked to hang.
And do things that couples do...
Like go on the Sundance moonlift ride.
(while we sat on opposite sides of the lift)
And watch movies till 2 am together.
(again...opposites sides of the couch)
And for some weird reason, we would tell each other everything about our love lives.
I wouldn't even get mad when he would stop by to say hi and hangout with me before going to a different girls house.
What strange times.
But I must admit, I'm glad we were friends for so long before we dated.
That's how relationships are supposed to start, right?!

And here's another one of us that I found!
But we're dating by this time.
And B has a zit on his forehead the size of Canada.
(I don't feel bad for posting this, the kid literally has flawless skin and pops out one of these big mama's like... MAYBE twice a year)

Rumor has it, Canada has made it's yearly appearance on B's forehead while he's been gone.
I'm not even kidding you guys,
I can't wait to see my boy in a few days...even if he brings Canada with him.
