For real...look how buff you are...

Especially you, Ryan.
Check you out...holding my braid and all.

THE cake{s}.

The cakes. Easiest thing of my life!

1. Because I already knew what I wanted.
2. Because I knew a girl that could make it happen.
3. That girl makes cakes that are yummy, pretty, AND cheap. (can you say boo-ya?)

So without further ado, the cake, the other cake, and the other cake.

Serious perfection.
We had a chocolate nutella one.
A vanilla strawberry one.
And a lemon one.
Unfortunety, I only got to try the lemon one... and I suppose "try" is used very loosly here as Mr. Sanfy and I didn't get much cake in our actual mouths. But I heard nothing but good things about how yummy they were, and I can't wait to crack open that lemony goodness on our one-year anniversary. (Does freezing it really work? Sounds a little crazy loco to me).

Good news! If you are in need of a cake maker for any occasion, you can contact Annie @ 801-319-8739. She is the sweetest thing and sooooo easy to work with.
(ps...this is not paid advertising of ANY sort. Just me, sharing this awesome chica with the world...I can't hold her goodness in any longer!)

Also. Blake, my dad, and I (but mostly my dad, if we're being honest here), made the log cake stands that you see in the pictures. Since we're not planning on getting married ever (ever) again, someone else needs to put these babies to use! Contact me @ erikamlaws{at}gmail{dot}com if you are interested.

So, that's about it!
Eat cake kids, eat cake.
It's good for you.
So fetchin' good.

But wait.

First, look at me with this knife.
So scary.
So fetchin' scary.

THE engagement pics.

Let me tell you.
I have ALWAYS wanted to get married in the winter.
Don't ask me why, but something about the cold just gets me.
(and something about not wanting to be a sweat ball in the summer standing in the receiving line outside (because if you get married in the spring or summer you HAVE to have your reception outside, duh) hugging all my friends and family while apologizing for the hot weather and sweaty armpits as my wedding makeup slowly drips off my face).
No thank you.
It's just that I have an abnormal body that loves to overheat like allllll the time.
Can you say sweat fest?
So basically a winter wedding is perfect.
Except for the picture taking part.
I was nervous about this.
Let's be honest...a tree full of blossoms looks a heck of a lot prettier than a dead tree in the winter.
Luckily, we got a bomb photographer that made us look good, even in the frigid cold.
(I'm serious you guys....B and I were numb, numb, numb by the time we were done).
So one big fat THANK YOU to Alixann Loosle Photography...
you make dead trees look good and freezing people look warm as a snickerdoodle straight out of the oven.

How about a picture overload?
Check.
See you tomorrow!
We're talking wedding cakes.
Ekkkk!

Hello from the Mrs.

Oh heeey!
I'm back.
And married.

and behind on school.

and you should see my desk at work.

and I'm living out of a suit case.

and eating cereal for every meal.

but I'm just the happiest of all happy's.
Because why?????
Cuz' I'm married!

I fully plan on doing a million posts about the wedding.
The dress, decorations, pictures, you know? The whole sha-bang.
But until then...here are some highlights of my last 2 days as a wifey.

Today I came home to notes all over the Love Shack.

Also, Mr. Sanfy installed some new blinds into the living room.

We're both WAY too obsessed with making our little house a place we LOVE.
So instead of using our time to grocery shop, we try to put the place together.
That way we can sit by cute pillows (thank you Target) while we talk about how hungry we are.
Priorities peeps.
Priorities.

Last night, B waited patiently on the couch for me while I got ready for bed.
When I was done, he sat me down by him, cuddle me up in a blanket, and told me we were going to read the Book of Mormon together.
It totally took me by surprise.
But I loved every second of it.
I sense a bedtime ritual in the making.
Gosh I love that kid.

He also lets me wear his clothes.
Boy has style.

Oh! And the other night, Lover Boy said the prayer.
..."we're so grateful for each other, and that we get to have soooooo much FUN!!!!"
I tried not to giggle. Failed miserably. Then deemed our first prayer together a great one.

All in all. Married life is ia good life. Especially if you married Blake Sanford. He's the coolest and we do the coolest things.

We talk.
We laugh.
We share stuff.
We are best friends.
and We. Make. Love.

:)

Life is good.
so so so so so so good.

Current obsession.

Watercoloring.

And making crafts.

Maybe it's the fact that in 11 days I'll have my own home.
Or that B likes to do crafty things with me.
Or maybe it's because water coloring is the cheapest and funnest date ever.

But whatever it is...it's crazy.
I suddenly have the urge to create and make things like it's no ones business.

B's perfect because he helps me do stuff. And introduces me to places like HOBBY LOBBY.
Why have I never been there?!
The lover boy took me there twice yesterday.
TWICE!
Gosh I love him.
Can't wait to decorate our little love shack together.

THE temple.

This past weekend I had the opportunity to go through the temple.
Usually brides don't go through the temple until the week of their wedding.
BUT..
My brother and sister-in-law were getting sealed to each other and their cute baby this weekend and I seriously wanted to be there for it.
So, a few interviews and a special approval (to go through a little early) later, I was good to go to the St. George temple.
It was one of the best things in the whole world.
Me, Ryan, and Kaylyn went through for the first time all together and it was so special to share that day with them.
We were able to be all sorts of nervous and excited with each other.

And the sealing?!
Amazing.
One of the happiest moments of my life, actually.
I'm so happy/proud/stoked for my brother and his family...they get to be together for FOREVER!
Can you believe that?
And you should have seen MayLady...she was adorable.
Cue Maylie's entrance into the room.
Cue the water works.
So many tears.
But happy ones.
Those are the best kind.

Best part about the whole thing?
Blake was there to share the entire experience with me.
Man, I love that boy.

Few weekends will EVER top this last one.
So happy I could be there for Ry and Kay's sealing.
And sooooo happy that they get to be in the temple for mine in 2 weeks.
2 weeks!
Can you say "crazy loco"?!
