I wouldn't mind being Celine Dion in my next life.

Literally just spent the last 15 minutes writing all about our Vegas trip complete with what we did and when we did it. Then I thought,  "uh....Rik. No one really cares about what you did every second of everyday this weekend". WHAT?! You don't care?!
Whaaaa???

Aight cool. Highlights it is.

Hung out with these fools...

And this child...

Spent all day in Vegas and saw this show...

With this handsome boy...

And took pictures like this...

While we waited for the show to start.

To our dismay, this happened on our way back to St. G...

But luckily B-man (aka: boy who always gets pulled over but never gets a ticket) was driving...and we didn't get a ticket. Figures.

And every night ended with this...

We may or may not have watched them one night until 5am. You could say we're slightly obsessed. We're slowly converting May baby too. She stayed up and watched them with us too.

This was the first trip that lover boy and I have gone on where we didn't have anyone but us to worry about. Literally, it was the most laid back vacay I have ever had. We had zero plans and just did whatever the heck we wanted, whenever the heck we wanted. It was the best! That's what every vacay should be like, don'tcha think?!

Thanks to Ry and Kay and Maylie for letting us bum it at your house. You da best.

And um.. Hello! Celine Dion...she is amazing!!! Best concert I have ever been to in my entire life! And you know what? B even liked it too. Actually I'm pretty sure he loved it. I could tell by his request to play Celine Dion music while we drove home. Did I mention that the cheap tickets we bought were box seats?! Living under the stars killas. We are living under the stars.

Aaaaand. Just wanted to give a shout out to one of the most amazing people I know. My friendy friend, Kynsie, is leaving on a mission tomorrow and I'm so proud of her. I got to go to lunch with all my old roomates today and say goodby to one of my besties. She sure is going to be missed, but she is going to make the best missionary. Texas is lucky to get her, and I'm lucky to know her. I love you Kynsie girl!!!

I [mustache] you a question...but I'm [shavin'] it for later.

I don't like to brag.
Ever.
Bragging is lame.
Bragging ain't cool.
Bragging and bragging makes you look like a fool.
Peeps just shouldn't ever do it.
Just sayin.

Okay. On that note, I just want to tell you how totally sweet and groovy my family is.
They're the best.
Probably better than yours.
The best.
Like WAY better than yours.
Just sayin.

Just got back from the Laws 2012 family reunion. Theme? Mustaches. Why? In honor of the Grandad. He rocked some serious staches in his lifetime. I sure do miss that man.

Was seriously so blessed to be surrounded by these beauts all weekend.

Activities included...{but are not limited to}

Bridge Jumping

Long bus rides with the WHOLE fam to see some pretty pretty waterfalls and that one gyser...seriously such a Faithful ol' thing.

Engineering project...rolling egg course style. Brought to you by the Dadio.
Yay for family bonding and team unity.
Unfortunatley, I chose an egg that was bred to easily break and be someones omlette...
not the kind that are bred to roll down intense courses without having it's shell break.
What are the odds?!
The insanity.

Bike rides, hair braiding, canoes, and a slack rope (kids were literally doing backflips off this thing). Can you say WOWZA?! It's a miracle no child was rushed to the E.R. this weekend...the mustache gods were watching over us.

And the best part? A contest to see who could dress up the most like Grannie and Grandad in their glory days.
Seriously was laughing so hard.

Here's chief Dave. He did done good, don'tcha think?

Who decided to bless their child the same night as the costume party??
Lucky little cousin Lauren was surrounded by a bunch of look-a-like Grandad's while being blessed.
Poor kid's gonna look at her blessing day photo and wonder what generation she was born in.

Add some tennis, horse shoes, ping pong (say hello to a semi-finalist...must be the Asian blood), delicious food, lots of injuries, bracelet making, potato gun, tramp jumping, volleyball, piano playing, pool games, sleeping in tents, being blown over by a micro burst, a million little kids, and crazy aunts and uncles and you basically get the gest of how my weekend went.

Like I said...my family is better than yours.

Shout out to Uncle Q for planning a stellar reunion.

And I'd also like to thank Uncle Dru for being a loyal blog reader and giving me the 'funniest blog' award. It's probably the most rare and special award in the entire universe.
And for that, I'm giving him the 'favorite uncle' award.
You rock Dru-be-doo-be-doo.

Hope you had a fab weekend killas!
xoxo
rik.

aaaaaand! Happy 50th anniversary to the best Grannie and Grandad ever. I love you Grannie! I miss you Grandad!

The heat stroker...

Oh hey there! Riki here. Just returned from St. Geezy and just wanted to share some pics with you! My momma always taught me that sharing was the nice thing to do. So here I am...being nice.

I went to St. George with the Sanford boys for a softball tounament called the Heat Stroker. It's a huge tournament that is played all Friday and Saturday night. B told me that if I survived this weekend, I was eligible to be married to him. The "final test",  if you will. I can see how it could be a rough weekend. Friday night their games ended at 5am, Saturday night we were done at 4am. If you know me at all...you'll know that I am SOOOOO not a night person. Get me to bed by midnight and I'm about as happy as Elmo on laughing gas. Point is...B knew this weekend would be hard for me. But guess what? It wasn't! I got to hangout with my man and watch him play softball, spent some quality time with my sissy Kaylyn, my cute niece Maylie, and my bro bro, we shopped, ate, and slept till noon. Not mad. Aaaand, I only slept through 2 games! 2!!! I was impressed, and apparently boyfriend was too. He said I passed the test with flying colors. You know what that means?  You got it. Expect a wedding soon. Real soon.

I was kidding about the wedding! But hey, it's nice to know that I'm offically eligible.
Sorry about the lack of pics I took. Wasn't on my A-game.

Thanks to the Sanfords for letting me bum along on their trippy trip...they're the best fam.

Here's a video boyfriend got of me in all my sleepy glory. Hot dang.

There are those blasted pimples again. Sure do love them.
Glad I ended that video with a sweet pose.

{Today B and I got tickets to go see my home girl Celine Dion put on a show in Vegas. I'm more stoked than you can even imagine.}

We're jeeping fools, ya know?

My dad is a jeep fanatic. Seriously. Fanatic is probably an understatement. No family needs 3 jeeps. No family but mine, of course.  So naturally my dad picks Moab as his vaca of choice to celebrate his dad day. So a bunch of my friendy friends drove down to Moab with me to celebrate Dave's day. We had so much fun. We sang and danced in the car 100 miles past our destination. Don't ask me how we managed to do that, but boyfriend was not super thrilled at 1 in the a.m. when I told him we were 100 miles past Moab. OOHHHHH Colorado...you were a lovely surprise to our little trip.

Jeeping is one of my favorite things to do. It's even funner with peeps you love and a group of 12 jeeps. Thanks Chief Dave for the best celebration of Spring Semester being over and Father's Day. I love you so much!!

Also, a big thank you to Little Miss May for letting me use her sunscreen. I was highly anticipating the muchly needed tan I would have from being in the sun. However, her SPF 10000000000 sunscreen prevented any sun...whatsoever. I think I came home whiter than when I left.

But how could you be mad at that face?! She's the cutest baby alive. So glad this lil' nugget came with us. We're breaking her into Jeeping real quick.

Procrastination isn't, but should be, my middle name.

AHHHHHH! Midterms can die a slow miserable death! I have 3 more this week and I have no idea how I'm going to get through it alive...last week's studying and test taking almost killed me. Stress. I'm sure my procrastination isn't helping my stress at all, for instance, instead of spending my weekend studying (like I should have been),  I went to St. George and Vegas with a few of my favorite peeps. And instead of studying now (like I should be),  I'm blogging. Where are my priorities people???? Meh, oh well. You're not human if you don't procrastinate sometimes. Here's just a few pics from Vegas aka: procrastination at it's best.

Montana Madness Continued.

Aight playas, here's day two,  kinda mixed with day three....and the rest of the trip. I can't remember what happened on what day anymore, it's old news and my brain is filled with BYU educational type stuff now.

The days consisted of bailing hay, changing sprinklers, cooking meals, shooting guns, riding horses (but mostly trying to catch them), hiking, hair cuts, playing the piano, sleeping in, homework (insert frowny face here), and lots of other mindless activities. I spent some time wandering and exploring my grandparents ginormous piece of property with nothing but my camera and my thoughts to keep me company, it was so relaxing and TOTALLY NEEDED PEOPLE!

Hee hee....look at my mom try to jump on the horsie...

Okay, so I took Niki on a little exploring hike with me, and we came across this boat! So we turned it over, cleaned it out, and took it out onto the pond. We were so scared! The boat was so old, it was filled with bugs, and it weighed a ton! The pond was dirty, and neither of us know how to paddle very well (I don't think we knew that until we were already out on the pond and couldn't steer). BUT it ended up being so fun/hilarious. You should have seen us trying to pull it back up onto land. I know we look strong, but....we're not. It was hard.

We wanted to take my mom and Aubree out on the pond with us, so we went back the next day with them and snapped some pics.

And that basically sums up the trip. It was rad. So totally rad.

Just a side note...

I miss this handsome boy today.
